Hello, my name is Bjorn Banke. I was raised on little Beck Island in the Heart of Clayoqout Sound. I have fished in this area literally since birth, my mother and father would take me out when I was a baby! I have many fond memories of growing up on the island (16acres) with no running water or electricity. My father fished with me year round. My family loved to eat fish and shellfish that were so abundant in the sound. It was an amazing way to grow up and now serves me well as a prerequisite for guiding in Clayoquot Sound.

Today, my wife and I support our children with Tofino 1st Class Fishing. My kids absolutelylove fishing.

Boston Whaler is an excellent sea boat. It is 30.8 feet long and 10’4 wide. It has a private bathroom and galley including a refrigerator for lunches and beverages. It has a full cover and is designed for the rugged west coast. This boat works really well for all groups whether it is a family of six, or a couple, the whaler hardly notices, it is very stable!

I really enjoy guiding, it is part of who I am. I have always taken people fishing…starting off in my little row boat that my father restored circa 1910, to the many different boats along the way, through the local charter fleet leading up to our family Whaler. This is by far the most exciting boat I have ever run!

I try to take good care of people, be on time, keep the boat and bathroom in clean working order. My goal is to empathize with each group to try and understand both expectations and general needs…in other words your in good hands!
